Dolphins | Agent says McNair would be open to playing in Miami
Fri, 6 Jan 2006 06:25:44 -0800
Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports agent Bus Cook said he thinks <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/36/nfl">Tennessee Titans QB Steve McNair (http://www.kffl.com/player/1876/nfl) would be ''amenable'' to playing for the Miami Dolphins (http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl) if the Tennessee Titans (http://www.kffl.com/team/36/nfl) cut or trade McNair. "Right now, Steve is a Titan, and he wants to be a Titan, but you don't know what they're going to do,'" Cook said Thursday, Jan. 4. "But if he's not with them, I'm sure he'd be amenable to playing for Miami. They've done a good job down there to turn the team around, and he's still a playmaker."

While I believe that McNair could be a threat in Miami, I also suspect he's past his prime and signing him would only be a temporary patch for the dolphins.

and the fact he would probably only play 4 games before he got injured again....

I want McNair in Miami.

It'll be Sage Rosenfel after TKO crush him in Week 2.

While I wouldn't rule out the possibility, it appears gus frerrote did make a case for himself to stick around with the club for next season. I think saban might take the draft a young qb in the draft route.

with the receivers they have down there mcnair could do plenty of damage for one season even if its only 13 games

Well you can't predict whether someone is going to have an injury plagued season or not. McNair has been battered over years true, but the Titans line is equally as bad if not worse than ours. I'd say signing McNair is a risk I would love to take.
