Joe Benigo: Donahoe is not terrible

Yeah, I know a lot of people on here could care less about what some New York City guys said, but I am watching the Mike and the Mad Dog show right now and they have on WFAN's late night host Joe Benigo to discuss the Jets. First off, Joe Benigo brought up that the Jets will need to restructure the front office within the next two years and brought up Donahoe as a replacement for Bradway. He claimed Donahoe wasn't terrible which made me start to laugh hysterically. Mike had enough sense to say Donahoe was terrible, but again they messed up on the number of years that he screwed up in Buffalo saying four, instead of five. Now, on to the other point. Once Buffalo was brought up because Joe brought up Donahoe as a replacement, Mad Dog went on to say "by the way hiring Levy was a bad move. He's 80 years old! blah blah blah." Mike then concurred and brought up Wilson's age also. It made me want to call in to lash out on these buffoons. They are good hosts, but when they start talking about the Bills it reminds me of the WGR guys except these guys can't even get their information straight. Did they even see that press conference yesterday and how sharp and healthy Marv looked? I'm going to guess that they didn't. If I hadn't known his age beforehand , and watched him yesterday I would of guessed he was in his late 60's. Wow, everyones way too cynical about Levy. I can't wait until he turns this franchise around and watch the bandwagon build.

Just like there's race discrimination and also age discrimination. They're both pretty ugly.

No kidding, I don't know why I am so frustrated over these buffoons. Everyone was talking about change and bringing in someone who will be competent and Levy brings that to the table. I've never seen a guy more honest in his answers. Now it's like people want to bring Donahoe back. It's ridiculious.

One thing I've learned since the emergence of the internet and message boards... These guys really know squat. In reality, it's impossible to know a lot about every single team other than what's recycled. Think of it... These guys need to know about football, baseball, hockey, and basketball. They can't be the experts on every team. Especially other cities' teams. I rely on a few top posters mixed in with some local news for all my Buffalo news / opinions.

I stopped listening to Mike and the Dog a few years ago because they get so much wrong.

In reality, it's impossible to know a lot about every single team other than what's recycled. Think of it... These guys need to know about football, baseball, hockey, and basketball. They can't be the experts on every team. Especially other cities' teams. I rely on a few top posters mixed in with some local news for all my Buffalo news / opinions.

There are very few sports "personalities" I can cope with. I love Steve Summers. Because he doesn't take things seriously, doesn't act like a know it all, and lets the caller have their say without belittling them if they have a different opinion.
