MM sold out his staff & his beliefs

They have fired pretty much everyone but he stays, so I guess he really didn't believe in his staff. Who is going to trust/believe this guy. RW told him get rid of your staff or your gone & he threw them all under the bus. Captain didn't go down with the ship stuff.

I think you get the point, he is a POS.

      Well is this proof enough?

The Buffalo Bills announced Friday that they have released five assistant coaches, including offensive coordinator Tom Clements.
The other coaches are Don Blackmon (linebackers), Tim Krumrie (defensive line), Frank Verducci (offensive line) and Steve Szabo (defensive backs).

5 coaches here: "We appreciate everything these coaches have done in terms of their time and efforts and sacrifices, especially in taking away from their families," Mularkey said. "It's just that it is time for a change in taking another step in a different direction."

The moves are the start of an overhaul of the defensive staff by head coach Mike Mularkey, which was anticipated in the wake of the Bills' 5-11 finish.

And how many of his staff outside of Clements did he really want? To me all of the defensive assistants were left over from Greg Williams staff?

Skooby, I don't think you were at One Bills Drive to understand the situation between the coaches and the conversations between Wilson, Levy, and Mularkey. How can you say that Mularkey screwed them or threw them under the bus? You don't know. You're just one of the few who searches for more reasons to hate Mularkey.

I'm not a big MM fan but the firings are pretty deserved:

Tom Clements - completly sucked as Offensive Coordinator
Frank Verducci - offensive line coach - sucked, all though so did our talent
Don Blackmon - linebackers coach - sucked, we sucked at tackling
Tim Krumrie - defensive line coack - sucked, no pressure
Steve Szabo - defensive backs coach - sucked, backfield got smoked all year

These guys deserved it period. Our conditioning coach had better be getting the axe as well!!!

I wonder how much of what happened the last 5 years was Donahoe telling these coaches what to do. It's seems to me that RW was ready to fire MM, I think MM told him that TD was responsible for most if not all of the decisions and that he was not able to do the things he wanted to do. If that's the case, I am willing to give MM a chance to bring in his own staff and players along with Modrak and levy's help and see what he can do. The way he talked at his first press conference was that he wanted a smash mouth offense and a big tough defense. If you look at who we drafted the last 5 years, they are anything but that type of player on either side of the ball. The free agent line pickups were bargin price leftovers. Milloy and Vincent are old. I just think TD made alot of mistakes and decisions based on the salay cap and his own arogance. I say let's wait and see what the final coaching staff looks like, how we handle Moulds, Adams, free agnecey and thew draft.

If anything, I interpret this as a willingness to let go of his buddies for the betterment of the team. You could say he did it to save his job, but he's young and he knows that he would get a job with another team and probably another HC job down the line if he was unhappy here. Look at GW and his future with the Redskins.

MM is a backstabber it's a good thing Marv will have an eye on him at all times.

It wasn't the assistants' fault the defense sucked. Gray calls the schemes. You can develop a DB all you want but it won't do much good if he's told to play 7 yards off a WR. Or if a zone call results in the MLB being the closest defender to the other team's star receiver.
