I'd take him too, but the guy's probably still bitter. Can't blame him though.

That was dumb move on the part of the Vikings.

The Vikings aren't the smartest team in the NFL.

WTF.

TD is the one who canned him. It would be a perfect opportunity to take a talented defense, bring them back to a top 5 squad and bonus: stick it in TD's face. :D

He can run both a 4-3 and a 3-4.

I heard Childress called them from his cell phone while he was on a boat with some of the Vikings players.

why do you say that? We just fired the nimrod who passed on him for Head Coach. It would be Ted's 3rd stint with the organization is all

Not to mention, but I will anyway, Ted did pretty well with Cowart at LB – imagine him having Spikes and another runstopper next to Sam.

I think that Marv just might be able to lure him back!

I think it could be just the thing our D needs to be put on top again.

Just as long as this thing doesn't become a Beach Boys reunion. Wow, they sound great. What, are they like 94 now?

If Cotrell digest that his fault was age issues... for sure, he could excel Krumrie's spot...

I don't know about you guy's, The Rams D was a joke the last couple of years and this is who you want as a DC??? Good luck.

ted cottrell was a great d coordinator with the jets during his short tenure.... but as usual, he got the axe. minnesota he got an unfair shake, but thats the way business flows.

i've even seen rumblings about ted being a possibility of coming in for an interview with the jets... highly unlikely but as long as its not haslett.. i'd be happy.

is there anyone you DONT want coming in to bills land.... and has a coach ever been fired during the season and the GM/president of football operations took over as coach?

just be lucky you dont have bradway or millen lol

OK...whats the difference??

another example of where the defense got the blame with an inept offense...

especially this year, with culpepper stinking it up... as well as that "party"
great turn around at the end of the year though

Where the hell do you get the Rams from?

Ted Cottrell was the D coordinator for the Vikings moron.

And Dom Capers was the head coach for the Texans.

I'd love to see Cotrell back as DC, Wyche elevated to OC, and Rusty Jones lured back as Strength and Conditioning guru. That would surround Mularkey with experience, minimizing his chances of reverting to complete buffoonery.

I like it and dislike it.

Ted was a big part in getting some of our cast offs. On the surface we let Winfield, Cowart, and Williams go for valid reasons.

Winfield hasnt gone on to do that much other than tackling, Williams is a very good DT, and Cowart never came back to what he was here.

So, Im only concerned with Ted fighting to keep some of the guys that probably should go, its not like the VIkes were an all star D this year.

Now, I like Teds approach and hes a nice guy, but Id rather see us go more hard a_s discipline type at our coords that more "players" coaches like Ted.

Right now, id have to say no thanks but I also dont see any bigtime D coords coming here so he may be the best option.

You make some good points, but I would add that he's a master at devising a scheme, and then does a great job selling his plan to his players.

I don't think he's so much their friends, and he has credibility with them...and players respond to that.

Not in FTP's world they are not. In FTP's world, Miami is still playing in the playoffs...and go on to win the superbowl with another undefeated season...those pills are really strong...

Bring back Cottrell's Commandos! Move to a 3-4 solving some of the D line problem. Crowell has shown he can be a play maker.
