I think a major part of the Bills' decline this past season began in part due to Spikes' injury; he's such a motivating force on the field, and without him, the Bills just aren't the same. I (like most of us I'm sure!) am hoping he is able to come back with the strength and intensity we have come to expect from him. Does anyone know how his rehab is going? I am not all that familiar will ACL injuries (I know they are pretty serious, though), will he be the same, or do we need to get used to a toned-down version of our hero?

God I hope not. He is one of the few bright spots on this team!

I don't have any specific information about Spikes, but I do know this:

1. Spikes' heart and motivation was definitely missing from the Bills last year and we need him back on the field even if he's not 100%
2. Spikes at 80% is better than any other LB we have (and most other LB's in the league) at 100%.

An ACL injury is not at all what it used to be. It used to be a career ender. Now your out for six months and you usually come back stronger.

He did. But for some reason someone brought up ACL. So I informed that person that an ACL is no longer a big injury to worry about.

Spikes tore his achilles...not ACL. Willis tore his ACL...as did I a few years ago. And let me tell you, I don't wish that pain on my worst enemy. Also, an Achillies usually takes longer to heal and the odds are agst you in becoming the player you once were. (ie: Sam Cowart)

Oops, my bad! I got the injury confused! NOw this really sucks though, cuz it sounds like an achilles injury is much worse than an ACL tear........crud!
