All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I know this might be a stretch, but have you seen this guy play? I think this guy has a future as a Kordell Stewart slash role in his early years in Pittsburgh. He didn't make the team last year but was recently signed to fight for the #3 spot..with the likely retirement of Shane Matthews. What do you guys think?
Tory Woodbury hasn't given up his dream of playing in the NFL.
Woodbury, a former star at Winston-Salem State, will be in training camp today with the Buffalo Bills at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y. It will be Woodbury's third NFL team since exhausting his eligibility at WSSU after the 2000 season. http://www
1. If he's 3rd on the depth chart, I hope we never have to find out if he's good or not.
2. If he's playing, it will only encourage Mularkey to run more gadget plays. Mularkey needs to learn that he's in the NFL, not a touch football game in the RWS parking lot.

The interesting thing is that Woodbury is also good on special teams. And given his QB skills, I wonder if, at times, we can have some fake punts that would end up having him throwing the ball to someone in the face of an unsuspecting special teams. Personally, I don't think we do enough fakes in the special teams. Moorman himself is really fast (was a track star) and can probably outrun atleast 75% of the people on special teams. Could be a nice trick every now and then to go for a 1st down instead of punting...If April could draw up some nice plays and blocks by some of our outstanding special teams blockers (which have speed) especially ones that can do pancake blocks like Sape and Peters, it might make for some interesting plays...
I was impressed with Woodbury in pre-season. Is he ready for prime time? Who knows, but I'm glad to see him back with the Bills.
