The Oakland Raiders were fined $50,000 by the NFL on Thursday for failing to make several players available for a Super Bowl interview session a day earlier.
At least a dozen players weren't at their assigned places for interviews at the Raiders' team hotel on Wednesday, and many who showed up left early.
"The failure to make all players and coaches available for the required Wednesday media session was the result of a communications breakdown on the part of the club," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said. "The Raiders have fully participated in all other required media sessions this week."
