I think we need a tough, no BS coach.

I'm not sure which candidates possess (sp) this trait, but I think this team needs to toughen up and play with more discipline and quiet confidence.

the most important trait is to NOT be Mike Martz.

I totally agree. We need a guy like Bill Belichick, Bill Parcells, or Tom Coughlin.

Who is out there like that? Hmmm. Eric Mangini is the Patriots DC. He comes from the Belichick coaching tree. Or we could go with Gary Kubiak from Denver. His offense knows how to run the ball. Or maybe Jim Johnson from philly. I think he's a hard nosed coach.

I am willing to take Jim Haslett too, as long as he brings in some solid Coordinators. I think he'll be much better in his 2nd time around.

But my best choice of all would be to do what the Chiefs did....

Trade a 3rd rounder or even a 2nd if it takes that, to the Titans for JEFF FISHER!

What about Dom Capers? How did he screw up on Houston?

I also want a coach with previous NFL head coaching experience. The coach must come in and declare "I'm the top dog, deal with it or get the hell out!!"

We need a coach with a pair, who doesn't care about being cute on the football field.

I want a head coach he takes the blame for HIS mistakes and doesn't pass it on the players when they don't deserve it. Williams and Mularkey both did that. And I want someone who is going to be strong of character on and off the field. I think Mularkey is the worst PERSON the Bills have ever had at coach. The guy was a weasel and a wuss and a puppet.

Jeff Fisher would be a perfect fit in Buffalo

the ability to outcoach both Saban and BB. The jets may also get a better coach than Herm. We cannot afford to get a coach w/ a lesser brain than them.

Experience and a proven track record of turning around programs - like ours - that are in complete disarray. Sounds kinda' like Marv, doesn't it?

The characteristic I want to see is what I saw in Parcells and Coughlin this year. When they were losing and someone made a stupid play, the coach glaring at them when the came off the field, or going over and getting right in their face to straighten their act out. That's what I want to see, a message that fing up and losing is a one way ticket to getting out of here.

Won't happen. that isn't Ralph and Marvs way of doing things. I think you are 100% right. I also feel ralph and marv should stay out of the mans way and let him coach his team..but it won't happen.

Do you think they won't be about to keep their noses out?

What about Mike Sherman? I think he's a pretty good coach and have seen very little on him anywhere. I'm actually surprised he hasn't been picked up already.

My dream would be:

HC - Mike Sherman
DC - Don Capers / Jim Haslett
OC - Rams OC maybe ?

He should have the name Mo Carthon.

I like that Marv wants a coach that's a "straight shooter", so the players know where they stand.
