That he will NOT be coaching this team. Good. It is best for him to kill this now for many reasons. One of the biggest is any potential HC they hire will have 'the ghost of marv' Looming over him if this statement isn't released. Fans need to know once and for all Marv isn't coaching the Bills again.

Out of the choices listed I sincerly hope Payton is chosen. GREAT offensive mind and a NO BS type of coach. There won't be any of this locker room laywering going on with him at the helm. Plus the man can put JP etc in the best position to win.

I know the supposed favorite is haslett, but if that is the case, why go to all the trouble to ask to interview Payton? They can interview Gray, Cotrell, and another nobody sitting out there then just hire Haslett. It can be done in 2-3 days tops.

I think they are very seriously lookint at payton and I for one hope so.

Exactly.

Let him get his first head coaching experience elsewhere.

We can hire him after we fire haslett!

i wouldnt mind payton, cotrell, haslett, or rivera. As for getting a coach with head coaching experience, their is only one option Haslett. I really dont like sherman, and neither Martz or Tice will get the job. Capers has shown me nothing as a head coach over the last few years, but i would not mind picking him up as a DC.

So IMO Haslett will get HC, Cotrell as DC, and ? for the OC.
