The Buffalo Bills have been trying to replace Marv Levy as coach for seven seasons, so with the resignation of Mike Mularkey, Levy the general manager is leading the hunt for his own successful successor. Levy came to Buffalo late in the 1986 season with long experience as a head coach at three different colleges and in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs. The two most desirable candidates to fill the Mularkey vacancy, in this view, are Mike Sherman and Jim Haslett, the two most unfortunate victims of the great coaching purge of 2006. Their backgrounds bear some resemblance to Levy's. more (http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20060115/1065404.asp)

Sherman or Haslett would be way better than Mularkey. With that said I think Haslett's no non-sense approach might fit better. Plus I think he less likely to give up on JP. These would be my top 2 canidates. Jets and Detroit are going after Haslett hard. Jet's job would be pretty good. Anybody that goes to Detroit with Millen in the office is an idiot!!

As I mentioned in Tonk's thread, these two are the best candidates IMO.

If they are the best choices I would say HASLETT because Mike McCarthy seems to be the real protagonist of Sherman's success.

After an "unfiery" head coaches era, I can't wait to see Jim Haslett's stamina in this NFL war!
