Just was watching NFL Network...and Adam Shefter said that the Bills are interviewing Jauron tommorow and that he may have the inside shot at the job.
What do you think?

:chat: He's not in my top five but he's not in my bottom five either. 1) Sherman 2) Fossel 3) Fisher 4) Marv 5) Payton. Bottom 5 are unmentionable. :tip:

A graduate of Yale University with a bachelor's degree in history...

Interesting...Another Ivy League history major. I wonder if he and Marv will have anything to talk about. :D
If he ends up as HC, we had better get one hell of a good OC!

Good young defensive mind.

IF Marv hires this guy, we then know Marv is an idiot and the wrong man for the GM job!

How bad does this smell of the exact same thing TD did when he hired MM?!?! TD went with who he is comfortable with and knew and it looks like that is why Jauron would get the job. Marv knows him and is impressed with his intellect...I can hear it now! You guys think we are the laughing stock now, wait till Marv hires this guy!

Exactly, I dont want a guy with his resume in charge of trying to bring this team back from the grave...We need someone with experience and success. We need Sherman!

Don't worry. History simply tells us that he should not be the next Buffalo Bills HC.

Anyway, it's impossible but it would be interesting to see Dick Jauron as DC and Sam Wyche as OC... both working together...

NO WE DO NOT NEED ANOTHER WILLIAMS/MULARKEY THIS GUY IS AN DC AND THAT ALL HE WILL BE GOOD COACH AT HIS SIDE OF THE BALL BUT NOT AS HEADCOACH

Jauron is as about as qualified as Cottrell in my opinion. And I would take Jauron as a DC before rehiring Cottrell for the same position. Neither one of them does anything for me.

Jauron is not close to the top of my list, but I think you guys are being a little hard on him. He was a coach of the year a few years back and brought a Bears team to the playoffs and a 13-3 record led by Jim Miller.:jawdrop:
It's been 4 or 5 years since the guy had his shot, he's worked for Detroit since then, and even he has been to the playoffs more recently than the Bills. If he's hired, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. BB didn't look so great after his Cleveland experience either.

I agree that everyone is badmouthing him a little too much for my taste. He's not my preferred candidate, but he's always been a solid coach.

His credentials are extremely similar to Haslett's, who everyone seems to love. Neither would be a bad hire, as they both have experience. But they both have points against them.

I think if Levy really wanted to hire the person he was most comfortable with, Haslett/Cotrell would get the job.

How about this:

Sherman HC and Jauron DC!

That would rock.

I would rather have Jauron as our HC. I'm tired of these push-over soft type coaches, like Sherman, Mularkey, Greg Williams etc. We need someone to come in here and put his foot down, and Jauron can do that. Plus IMO having a defensive minded head coach for this team is the better option, most of our veteran leaders are on the defensive side of the ball. Then we can hire a good OC.
