For the Sabre game in Edmonton, they gave us the Edmonton feed on NHL Center Ice. The Oiler announcers during the second intermission were talking about some sort of Zamboni derby before the game where these guys had to drive the Zamboni's through an obsticle course. They gave a prize to the best driver. As they finished talking about it, they started the thrid period where on the ice, the regular Zamboni's missed a big strip of ice. :snicker:

It's hard to find good help these days. Also the Zamboni guy almost hit the winner as he was being interviewed. Must have been jealous that he didn't win.

I was one of the 50 who participated in that event and it was a great time. I finished just out of the top 10.

I thought it was funny that they kept talking about all the great zamboni drivers, then the regular guys did such a crappy job. :snicker:
