Dolphins | Saban says team could consider Owens
Wed, 18 Jan 2006 06:00:18 -0800
Jeff Darlington, of the Palm Beach Post, reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins head coach Nick Saban (http://www.kffl.com/player/9162/nfl) left the door open about his interest in acquiring Philadelphia Eagles (http://www.kffl.com/team/29/nfl) WR Terrell Owens (http://www.kffl.com/player/1608/nfl) during the offseason. "I think we're interested in anybody who would make our team better," Saban said on ESPN Radio's The Dan Patrick Show. "Guys who have been proven playmakers in this league are all people we would be interested in." This marked the first time Saban spoke directly about Owens, since league rules prohibited Saban from commenting about acquiring another team's property. That changed when agent Drew Rosenhaus was granted permission by the Eagles (http://www.kffl.com/team/29/nfl) to seek a trade for the wide receiver.

That would be great! They can have him! Especially without a QB to throw to him!

you'd think they would have learned their lesson with David Boston.

David Boston is Man of the Year compared to TO.

They've been steadily in search of a QB as well. Patrick Ramsey keeps coming up in the mix. :snicker:

I might have jumped the gun on picking the fins this season but they are going to get better and they are going to be at the top of the division next season. As Bills fans I think we should be a little less complacent about Owens going to Miami. Owens has backed himself into a corner going forward. His next mission is going to be getting that money he wants...but then his mission after that is going to be to keep his nose out of trouble and produce to prove to people in the league he's about what he says he's about.

Myself, I do not want to see TO going to the fins AT ALL.

A low character guy going to the Felons? Wow, big surprise there.

I would love to see him go to the fins. They would be in total disarray by week 5.

If they takem then they deserve what they get and with it being the dolphins Id love to see TO come in a destroy that team with his greediness and crybabying. Yeah great talent but horrible for team morale.

I concur. I do not want him going to the dolphins. Especially if they got Daunte Culpepper.

Come on guys we can't afford to see Owens going to the Fins. Damn with all the talk about the Fins going for an upgrade in the QB position TO could really kill us especially after we realize the weaknesses of our cornerback and safety positions.

Even if we keep Clements, our CB position with him and Mcgee and Vincent and Milloy at safeties have trouble stopping even average WRs in this league, i just shudder to think what TO could do to us if he had an upgrade over Ferrote at QB.

Patrick Ramsey if he leaves the Redskins would definitely be an upgrade over Ferrote and if the Fins deal for D. Culpepper, damnnn, then the TO/Culpepper combo, that spells trouble for us especially since our defense cant overcommit against the pass coz of the Fins double headed hydra combination of Brown and Ricky as their RBs. So as a Bills fan, i just hope hope hopeeeeeee plzz plzz plzzz that TO doesnt go to the Fins and that they definitely dont go for Culpepper, even if he had a bad year this year, with the kind of talent he has, he is bound to succeed like he did in the past, coz i feel he's a quick learner.
