Does our current system support a high priced TE

I was looking over the year end stats and I checked out JR's totals. As we all know he was fairly unproductive with 32 catches. His blocking was suspect as well this year.

My question is simple, with our current system, do we really need an over priced TE?

What kind of cap hit will we take if JR doesn't stay with us?

I've been a long time fan of JR, but his preformance the past couple of years has soured me.

It seems like this system needs a blocking TE more than a recieving tight end. However I would like to seem them change that a bit and use the tight end and full back more. Remember bledsoe was most succesful when he used a lot of passes to Ben Coats and Keith Byars in the mid 90's.
    Go Bills !!
    Go PSU !!

I would like to see the Bills bring in Mikhail Ricks TE he was with the Lions this past year and started as a WR with the Charges.

How about Brady McDonnell, He played D most of his career, and now he is a first year TE. He might be a good blocker.

If Peerless leaves, I think that it's crucial to either retain JR or sign a different receiving TE. JR had his problems last season (a bobble here, a drop here), but he has shown in past years that he does have talent. I believe that he was lost in the offensive jungle of playmakers the Bills found this past season. Bledsoe has even been quoted as wanting more interaction with JR on the field and believes that he fits in well with the current Buffalo scheme. I say if Peerless stays cut him, otherwise work out a deal with JR that both parties could agree upon to minimize/reduce salary cap restraints.

i meant we'll save 3 mill. Amazing how one word can make all the difference.
