The Associated Press reports former NFL coach Jim Haslett said he hopes he is still in the running for the Detroit Lions' head coach position. Haslett was scheduled for a second interview with the team Wednesday, Jan. 18, but has not heard from the team.

"...but has not heard from the team." Maybe he'll still be available.

Hmmm....if the Lions don't want him, I'm not so sure we do either. That's pretty bad if you get dissed by a team that hasn't won a playoff game in 52 years. Ouch.

Stay far away from Haslett! Although, he has a better record through the last five years than our last two coaches. But .500 doesn't cut it, Sherman has been far more successful.
