Rod Marinelli....he's the Defensive Line coach of the Bucs.

Pretty well regarded in NFL circles. Lots of teams have tried to hire him as DC, but failed.

Haslett is either coming to Buffalo or Oakland.

Since it seems that he doesn't top the Bills list, I imgine Oakland will give him a fair shake.

He's single handedly ruining a respectable franchise. Can't wait to hear what Mr. Reality has to say about this.

Lions | More on Marinelli hiring
Wed, 18 Jan 2006 18:08:35 -0800
Nicholas J. Cotsonika, of the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/157">Detroit Free Press, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers (http://www.kffl.com/team/35/nfl) defensive line coach Rod Marinelli (http://www.kffl.com/player/11542/nfl) agreed to a four-year contract to become the next head coach of the Detroit Lions (http://www.kffl.com/team/16/nfl). Lions' senior vice president of communications Bill Keenist said he could not confirm or deny the hiring of Marinelli. However, the Lions (http://www.kffl.com/team/16/nfl) have called a news conference for 10 a.m. EST on Thursday, Jan. 19. Marinelli met Wednesday, Jan. 18, with owner William Clay Ford and was scheduled to leave in the afternoon, but the Lions (http://www.kffl.com/team/16/nfl) asked him to stay another day. He agreed to stay in town. They soon offered him the job, and he accepted.
