I sort of feel bad for Dick Jauron. I think his biggest fault while he was here in Chicago was that he wasn’t Mike Ditka. He didn’t yell and scream on the sidelines. He didn’t try to become a “Chicago guy”. He was just a nameless, faceless coordinator when the Bears hired him to try and steer the “Good Ship Wannstedt” back into placid waters. He was Coach of the Year in Chicago in 2001, in a year that looks more and more like an aberration, the more data you stack up against it. Even we hard-core Bears’ fans would admit, “we got every bounce” during the 13-3 season which lead to a playoff loss to the Eagles in the divisional round.

DJ just isn't a good HC period. 13-3 was pure LUCK! How many overtime int's for TD's that season for wins? At least two? Maybe 3?

He isn't a good coach, and Ralph Wilson can NOT sell him to this fanbase. he will come in and almost immediately be booed. Fans and buisness won't buy tickets / Boxes. Then WHEN (not if) When the 06 season starts and he starts failing, Ralph wont' put 30k worth of butts in the seats.

Hire sherman and cut the crap and move on.

Jauron is a proven loser, and if he does get the job then we're doomed for another few years.

Jauron is a proven loser, and if he does get the job then we're doomed for another few years.

Mark this down, The day he is hired start the clock ticking because within 5 years the Bills are gone.

Now why? Because Ralph has lost a solid chunk of the fanbase the last 5 years. They were past the breaking point this year. Most went to the home games because the tickets were already bought and that is the only reason.

He signs Jauron and ticket sales will plumet. Then WHEN he fails this year, Ralph won't be able to GIVE tickets away in 07. By 08 we will be lucky to put 25k in the stands just like once before. We have a rabid and loyal fanbase, but a SMART one as well. Enough is enough and Ralph better realise this.

We don't need another project coach, period. We need somone with proven experience that can get this team on it's feet quickly.

We've already burned 5 + years with ******s that couldn't even make the right call on whether or not to punt or kick a field goal. Jauron is another one of those guys. It will take him way too long than I am patient to get him up to speed.

what exactly about Jauron is appealing to Marv? 1 good season out of 5 in Chicago isn't good enough.
