All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
9 years old sitting at home watching (and taping) the game. My best friend was a big Raiders fan and was always wearing his stupid Starter jacket. So I enjoyed this victory and can still remember parts of the game. It would be nice to have a memory like this about a game that mattered!!!!!!!!
10 years old watching it in family room with my Dad. We knew the game was over in the first quarter when it was 21-3. I was pissed Jaeger hit the field goal. I actually remember Talley getting an interception and then NBC cutting to Wolf Blitzer in Baghdad to give updates on the bombings.
My college (UMass) roommate Darrien Chapman (now deceased), who grew up in Buffalo and lived there at the time, and we drove out there to see him that weekend and go to the game. I'd never been to an AFC Championship before.
We had endzone seats, about 30 rows back. I remember it being cold as hell and there was some girl there who wore a bikini to the game, and she would take off her coat to dance and the crowd would go nuts. I remember the Bills having 35 points at halftime and wanting to go back to the car to drink, but Darrien wouldn't leave because he had waited so long to see the Bills go to the Super Bowl.
I went away to basic training a week later, and didn't get to see the Super Bowl.
