Marv Hired Jauron....GUILTY! Worthless POS hiring. too bad the old man didn't have enough sac to hire a REAL GM instead of another old fart that has been out of the game 8 years.

The fact you would even say something like that shows that you aren't.

At least DJ (unlike our previous few head coaches) has head coaching experience.

So....gotta trust Marv. :bigwave:

I trust Marv. I hope it was only a one or two year contract though as Fisher or Schottenheimer could be available next year. :D

Hey, I remember laughing at NE because they hired an idiot as HC who had just spurned the Jets and seemed a completely pathetic HC with Cleveland. I'm willing to give any coach they bring in a chance.

And gave up a 1st round choice to get him.

I always liked Jauron, who is a NE guy (played HS sports in Swampscott, MA, where he and his brothers are legends). The guy didn't get a fair chance in Chicago, because Jerry Angelo was trying to get rid of him from the moment he was hired. Bad dynamic there.

I'm not sure what to think of him as a head coach, but I know his reputation is that of an excellent defensive coach. Jauron played DB in the NFL, and knows the game. I remember reading an interview with LeRoy Butler, the Green Bay Packers S, who credited Jauron with his development and spoke very highly of him.

I imagine a lot of his success will be hinged on the development of the Bills offense. He will need a strong coordinator, so that is an important decision. At least in Buffalo he will have the support of Levy, which is the type of support he lacked in Chicago.

Maybe the real question is, does Marv trust himself ? Let's not pretend otherwise.

He was living the dream for 24 hours after Mularkey quit. Marv pictured himself on the sidelines coaching the team again and forgot all about being a GM.

In Jauron, Marv sees a younger version of himself and the only candidate he wouldn't 2nd guess. Now that Jauron is here, Marv will actually come to the sobering realization that he is the inexperienced GM and NOT the Coach.

You know it has taken me a bit to cool off, but after giving it some thought I'm going to say yeah, I trust Marv. I really wanted Sherman, but no one else has made a real effort for him, there has got to be a reason. Now, lets see if we can get some decent co's and see what happens. Bottom line: I am a Bills Fan and I will continue to be one period.
