Stop with the Bill Bellicheck comparisons.

It is funny how people want to look to Bill Bellicheck to defend the crap hiring of jauron. It is even funnier how they ignore the facts that Bill was watching film at age EIGHT with his dad. By the time he was 10 he was actually breaking down film with his dad.

They also ignore the fact that was the DC for TWO Superbowl winning teams before ever going to Cleveland. They also ignore the fact that Bill led Cleveland to an 11-5 record in 94 (2nd best record in the AFC that year), beat the Patriots (led by former boss Bill Parcells) in the wild card round. Mid season in 95 they announced the team was moving to Baltimore and it all but ruined their season. Bellicheck didn't follow them to Baltimore.

See, MAJOR Differences between the two.

    Whereas you have this http://proxy.espn.go.com/nfl/columns...len&id=1695772
11 wins in his last two seasons? Didn't play nearly as hard as his 13-3 season? (And BTW... again I ask, how many overtime winning INT's for TD's did that team have that year?)

Don't compare this clown to Bellicheck. We may hate him because he is with the pats, but he doesn't control the media kissing thier butts as much as they do and honestly...the som ***** has EARNED everything he has. He was destined for greatness from age 8. Jauron...is just a joke.

I think the comparison is valid, albeit a stretch...

Instead of breaking down film with his dad Dick was getting ready for an NFL career.

        Shame on him.

DICK didn't start coaching until 1985. Bellichick on the other hand was a winning superbowl DC that year.

          No comparison.

No offense, but Jauron isn't BB and never will be.

no one is saying he will be, either

You know what's funny...there were probably a lot of Pats fans upset with the Belichek hiring saying that people should stop with the Marv Levy comparisons too

Actually, the majority of them thought Kraft had lost his mind. Plus, Belichick came in with total control of the franchise, and Kraft waited a month for to reach a settlement while other coaches found jobs.

Remember, the Pats gave up a 1st round pick for Belichick. There were a lot of people who thought they would be better off hiring someone else and saving the pick.

Ironically, the rumored alternative to the Pats hiring Belichick was bringing in Tom Donohoe to run the front office and Dom Capers to coach the team. Both guys actually interviewed with Kraft while the Belichick-Jets breakup was taking place, in case they couldn't agree on compensation and the Pats had to move on.

Only comparison being made was that behlicheck's first go around as a head coach was very similar in terms of win/loss.

Wow, imagine where the Patriots would be if Donahoe was running the show?

Pats fans are stupid anyway. Had they looked at FACT Bellichick was 11-5 the year before they decided to screw over him and the cleveland fanbase with the move. At that time the players said screw it.

He also brought two superbowl WINNING rings as a DC.

                        NONE of which Jauron has.

Here's another similar coach hiring: Marv Levy.

31-42 with KC, one winning season (9-7), out of coaching for two years when he came here.
