    Donnie Henderson?

KFFL is reporting that the Bills may hire Donnie Henderson as DC. I think that would make a great defensive staff. Anyone have any opinions on this guy. I've only heard that he is a great coach to play for and has a lot of intensity.

I've heard the same about intensity, heard him compared to Marvin Lewis.

When his players were healthy and the Jets O wasn't horrible his D played well.

They played with a ton of passion and fire and hi splayers loved to play for him.

He would be a good hire IMO plus he knows the AFC East.

Look Henderson is one of the top D minds in the game. We will stick to the 4-3 and be MUCH Better on Defense.

When Henderson took on the Jets job in 2004, he took their D from 21st in 2003, to 7th in 2004, his first year. Thats pretty impressive.

Maybe he can bring with him one of the jets DE to replace our Diesel motored DE's . Other than Schobel who tends to disappear at times himslef, , we don't have anyone worth being called a starter.

                      Re: Donnie Henderson?

                      from ESPN
"Henderson joined the Jets for the 2004 season, overseeing a vast improvement in the defense as the Jets made the playoffs. In 2005, the defense played well in spots, but could not carry an anemic offense. Injuries also plagued the team as the Jets finished 4-12.

Hired by previous coach Herman Edwards, who left earlier this month to become Kansas City's coach, Henderson guided a unit that ranked second against the pass, mainly because opponents could run so well against New York. The Jets were ranked 29th at stopping the run."

but it is important to rember that past record isn't important as per Marv.

Henderson instantly makes DJ better. Not good mind you, but better.
