Buffalo Bills Raise and Lower Ticket Prices

The Bills Tuesday announced ticket pricing for the 2006 season. Building on the success of the “Rock Pile”, the Bills have lowered season ticket prices in the Upper Deck corner sections by $3.00 per game. In 2004, the 200 level scoreboard end zone was converted into the “Rock Pile” resulting in over 2,000 new season tickets being purchased in that section.

In 2006 season ticket holders will receive an average discount of 20% off the individual game ticket price.....

Also as part of the new pricing, select season ticket sections will increase by $1.00 - $4.00 per game. Those sections include lower level sideline seats, upper deck center sections, club/premium sections, tunnel end zone sections and lower level sections in the scoreboard end zone.

Fans purchasing individual game tickets will also see an increase in prices ranging from $1 to $5 per ticket. New for 2006, the Upper Deck Corner (rows 21-38) sections will see a price decrease of $2.00 for individual game tickets.

Damn it! Even after a lousy season and then hiring a coach that nobody wanted, they raise the tunnel End Zone season ticket price by $20??? Come on!

Do they really want to do this? I mean come on I'm sure there are a ton of fans tettering on wether or not to get their tix renued or not. So why dont they raise some & lower some. This is BS !!!

Maybe I'll keep my tickets and just sell them on Craigslist to gullable idiots again. I got $110 for my Jets tickets last year, they were only worth $50.

You guys are ridiculous. We pay the lowest ticket prices in the ENTIRE NFL. Even a $1-$4 increase is nothing compared to other teams in the league.

However, the losing doesn't justify this. They are playing with fire.

I do not think there are as many fans teetering as there are fans complaining on Bulletin Boards. Bulletin Board and radio callers tend to be very vocal but do not represent the majority.

What I don't understand is why they would lower some prices. Why not just leave all the prices where they were? What does this really accomplish?

If they raised all ticket prices equally by $1 - $4, then there would most likely be less griping by the folks who are paying more while their fellow fans a couple sections over are paying less.

I guess it makes about as much sense as anything else that has come out of One Bills Drive in the past month.
