I was curious as to who the Bills drafted first each year during Levy's last tenure with Buffalo. Although he was not the GM then (obviously), he certainly had a lot to say as to who they drafted.

I also complied a chronological list as to who the Bills drafted once Levy left.

For what it's worth:

Levy
1986 Two #1's Ronnie Harmon / Will Wolford
1987 Shane Conlan
1988 No #1 ~ 2nd round) Thurman Thomas
1989 No #1 or 2 ~ 3rd round) Don Beebe
1990 James Williams CB Fresno
1991 Henry Jones FS Illinois
1992 John Fina
1993 Thomas Smith CB Notre Dame
1994 Jeff Burriss
1995 Ruben Brown
1996 Eric Moulds
1997 Antwain Smith

Others
1998 No #1 ~ 2nd round) Sam Cowart
1999 Antione Winfield
2000 Erik Flowers
2001 Nate Clements
2002 Mike Williams
2003 Willis McGahee
2004 Two #1s Lee Evans / JP Losman
2005 No # 1 ~ 2nd round) Roscoe Parrish

Levy had a relatively good drafting history

If history repeats itself, we might find Clements out and the Bills taking a CB in the 1st round this year.

Since 86, the Bills have spent 5 first picks on CBs, 4 on WRs, 4 on OLineman, 4 on RBs, 2 LBs, 1 DL, 1 S, and 1 QB.

It's kind of hard to compare because you have one set of drafting in which the picks are being made in order to keep a team competitive, while the other set of drafting is done to make a team competitive.

However, I feel confident with Marv's judgement and Modrak's scouting, the draft will go without a hitch. (As long as Ralph keeps his hand out of it).

Remember Burriss? Then in came Winfield and Clements.
