My second favorite Buffalo Bill TE of all time is hanging them up. Jay Riemersma who was hurt in the later stages of the 2004 season and hasn't played since is retiring. His agent made the announcement Tueday.

I always liked JR. He was the second best TE in Bills history, IMO. Too bad Pitt released him earlier this year during the off season. He deserves a Super Bowl ring.

Happy retirement JR.

Joe Ship is the first TE I remember tho. He played a few games the first year I paid attention to the Bills.

JR dropped too many balls.

JR dropped too many balls.

also he had two left feet. he'd catch the ball in wide open field, turn to run upfield and start stumbling before a defender even got there.

I had such high hopes for him for a number of years...though he never became an elite TE, I thank him for his service to the Bills...

I always liked him even though he did have some trouble keeping his balance after he caught the ball. He wasn't horrible but he wasn't great either.

I remember the touchdown catch he made against Green Bay during Flutie's last season. Caught it close to the sideline at the one, got both feet down, switched the ball to his left hand, and put the ball across the goalline before going out of bounds. Great play.
