    OC and DC?

Why haven't these 2 positions been named yet? I feel there can only be 2 reasons. (well maybe 3).

    1. DJ has committments from coaches on Seattle or Pittsburg.
    2. There already on the Bills staff.

    3. I hate to say cause I would hope there was a plan and coaches in mind and maybe even committments that if DJ got the job, these are the guys I want to bring in, or maybe they don't have a clue.

I just can't believe there hasn't been any movement yet. It's not that I'm impatient, I just can't understand why if DJ (and I don't dislike DJ) was that much better than the other canidates, coaches haven't been named. These would be my top questions if I was marv, who is going to be your OC and DC, have you got committments from them, how much money do they want, and when will they come on board? The answers to these questions would be who I picked for HC if I were doing the hiring.

I was thinking it was a little weird to get the DL coach before the DC... then I thought maybe they had already consulted their DC about it but couldn't name him because his team was still playing...

Do DCs normally help pick the rest of the defensive staff or are they all picked by the coach and asked to play nice with one another?

That would be a very solid pickup.

Well chop off Haskell and Lebeau because they can't take jobs that are at the same level

Same for Ray Rhodes and Ken Whisenhunt for the same reason. Axe off Grimm because he is technically an asst. head coach so he can't leave unless he gets a head coaching gig. So those 5 can be eliminated. That is exactly why Jim Caldwell couldn't come here as an OC because he would technically be dropping down a job because he is the asst head coach for the colts.

Out of that list, I like Jim Zorn, Mark Whipple, and Bruce Arians the most for OC.

I don't know any of the other guys.

Umm, if Bill Polian wants to help Marv out, he can allow the Bills to talk to Jim Caldwell for their OC position. He's not the OC in Indy and isn't calling the plays...that would be Peyton Manning and OC Tom Moore.

I think Jim Bates is still out there for a possible DC for you guys, I don't want to face him with the guys you have on D..they're taylor made for his type of D.
