Thu, 26 Jan 2006 22:40:50 -0800
Adam Schefter, of the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl">NFL Network, reports former Green Bay Packers (http://www.kffl.com/team/17/nfl) head coach Mike Sherman (http://www.kffl.com/player/1966/nfl) turned down an offer from the Buffalo Bills (http://www.kffl.com/team/9/nfl) to interview for their vacant offensive coordinator position. The Bills (http://www.kffl.com/team/9/nfl) then hired Steve Fairchild (http://www.kffl.com/player/8315/nfl) for the position.

What do think Marv said exactly?

"Mike, you're not the Manager we're looking for for this team, but hey, we'd like you to run the offense."

then marv says "the good news is we got two jobs left - team dishwasher and offensive coordinator. and you get to take your pick!"

In retrospec I don't think Fairchild is a bad hire over Sherman.

LOL No wat Sherman takes that when HC jobs are open for him to try and get. But at the sametime never hurts to think out the box.
