......and what was the implication of his 5 year signing bonus last year? Anyone?

The contract was a 5 year $5M contract, of which $1.5M was bonus w/ the remaining $3.5M salary.

I think that means if we cut him now, 750K would come up this year, w/ 750 next.

If we keep him now, but cut him prior to June 1st next season, the remaining unearned bonus of $1.2M would come up next year.
