SAN DIEGO - Shortly after the clock winds down on Super Bowl XXXVII tonight, Bucs coach Jon Gruden will stand on a podium in the middle of Qualcomm Stadium, pump a fist in the air and raise the Lombardi Trophy over his head.
It's a rock-solid lock.
Isn't it? Sure it is. After all, we've been hearing for years that defense wins championships in the NFL, and no one has a better defense than the Bucs. Certainly the Raiders don't.
There's only one problem. That old adage has never really been tested. Not the way it will be today, when the Bucs and Raiders fight for supremacy.
