QB- Trent Green(9-99), Tom Brady(12-142)
RB- Marshall Faulk(1-3), Thomas Jones(5-51), Antowain Smith(7-75), Trung Canidate(FA), Deshaun Foster(FA)
WR- Marvin Harrison(2-22), Rod Smith(3-27), Joe Horn(4-46)
TE- Freddie Jones(6-70), Jay Riemersma(11-123)
K- Matt Stover(10-118)
DT- Phliadelphia Eagles(8-94)
I was caught between the crossroads in the 2nd RD. I went out of my character at this point and selected a WR instead of grabbing my 2nd starting RB. Anthony Thomas and Corey Dillon was still on the board, but I couldn't resist taking Marvin Harrison and was hoping Thomas or Dillion would fall 4 more slots till I picked again in the 3rd RD.
It was tough passing on Thomas but I couldn't pass Harrison up. After Thomas and Dillion was taken, the top RB's were gone by the time I picked again in the 4th so I took a steal in Joe Horn at that point. In the 5th Aaron Brooks was still there and I wanted to take him but I had to select Thomas Jones because I had to or end up with Antowain Smith as my 2nd back, and an even worse 3rd string RB. After that there was no reason to take a QB till I did in the 9th during the last string of QB's worth anything was taken. At least I got the guy I wanted out of who was left.
Did I make a mistake on passing on Thomas and selecting Harrison? If I would've taken A. Thomas in the 2nd, then I could've selected Brooks in the 5th(hindsight is 20/20 though). My WR's would've been something like Horn, Smith, and probably Chris Chambers since he was taken late.
How would you rate it? It looks like a potentially good team, but it might've been better with another stud RB and a better QB. Hopefully Thomas Jones will have his breakout year he's capable of, and maybe Trent Green will turn it around, then it will seem like a steal :)
