Good for Rob. I have nothing against the guy. He had nothing bad to say about Buffalo when given the chance this week by reporters. It's Sapp and Keyshon Johnson having a ring that makes me sick! I can't stand those two loadmouths

I can't stand Keyshawn either, but doesn't it bother you that Rob has a ring and Jim Kelly never got one? At least Jim earned his keep in Buffalo for most of his career. Rob just took our 25 mil and laughed all the way to the bank.

It bothers me that Kelly never had one. Rob was just in the right place at the right time. I can't hold a grudge against him for that. For the record..............is still say he sucks and is a wimp.

LOL B2!

Yeah, I'm not so sure too many backups feel too great getting a ring w/o participating all season or in the game. I know I'd feel somewhat weird about it. At least backup linemen and DBs etc. contribute on STs or wherever.

I agree about Keyshawn though. He's gonna start runnin' off his mouth even more now and demanding things even though he wasn't one of the top 10 players as to why they won.

Wahhhhh. Why not just get over the whole RJ thing and you would not care.
Also I do not think RJ joined the Bills with the idea of playing badly and collecting a big paycheck. That is a dumb thing to say.
Don't you think he would rather have played well and be the starter in Buffalo rather than a back up in Tampa?
NAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I doubt it, not today at least.

This whole argument about Kelly not having a ring but RJ has is ridiculous. I'll bet RJ would give his left nut for half of the career Kelly had.

ESPN did a hilarious piece on Bret Carolan, a scrub TE who won a ring with the 49ers. Their whole spiel was how can a guy like that get a ring and not do anything and greats like Kelly, Marino, & Moon never did.

Bret Carolan- Hey, I had 2 catches- 1 for 4 yards and 1 for 6 yards during the season- If you add them up, it's a first down! And in those days, we didn't do any of this nonsense" * makes first down motion*)

Warren Moon- " I probably would have won a couple of Super Bowls if my team mates didn't suck so bad......(turns head toward camera with a big grin)......But I did win 5 Grey Cups!"

Joe Namath- on being asked if he remembered all his team mates like family after their Super Bowl win- " Ummm.... Nah.... only the good players..."

It was a pretty hilarius spoof- on pointing out why some no names get rings and others don't

Drew did the same thing, and although he probably likes having the ring, he knows he didn't earn it himself either. It's a meaningless ring, same with RJ's. So I'm not too worried about RJ having that ring.

:wail: Billsology, you're right, Rob having a ring does make me want to :puke:

Honestly, I don't ever think his heart was in the game of football. We all know his head wasn't. I don't think it bothers Rob one bit that he made millions of dollars off of the Bills. And now he's got a Super Bowl ring, even though he didn't help bring his team to the Super Bowl. I think he can live with that and I think he'll be proud to show it off.

I was disgusted that when they showed him on the sidelines. He didn't even have the class and decency to shave and look semi clean. He looked like a freaking slob! And there's his complete opposite on the field. Brad Johnson changes clothes after each quarter so he feels clean! I have to say that I really am thrilled for Brad Johnson. I think he deserves a Super Bowl ring. :) And I guess I'm happy for Gruden too.

Shelby, I think Jon Gruden looks a little like Sting. Don't you?

*whispers*... Jaded... Brad changes at the half... not after each quarter. ;)

I don't think any backup feels satisfied about winning a ring (i.e. Bledsoe). A trrue competitor wants to win one as a starter. I am happy for RJ. I agree he was in the right place at the right time. I have to admit the words Rob Johnson and Super Bowl champion go together about as much as Clump and Mr. Atlas (no offense Clump)..If anyone on Tampa didn't deserve one it was Tom Tupa. He had a punt blocked and returned for a TD and he botched a hold for a FG attempt.

Did someone say that too, BigD? If so, I missed it. Sorry. They do look a like though.

Cntry, I meant to say Brad changes at the half. I'm tired this morning.

Jaded, have you been hiding under a rock for the last 4-5 years ?

Gruden's nicknames are Sting, Chucky, etc.

I never heard him referred to as Sting, BigD. All I ever heard was Chucky. Apparently I have been hiding under a rock.

I saw the interview with Carolan -- it was funny, in a "life is like a box of choc'lats" way. If the gods decided to give RJ a SB ring, who am I to question?

Team sports always give people who do not deserve a title a chance to get one...so what if RJ has one...if it were Tennis and he won a grand slam then you might be a little upset (notice the attention Anna Porn-in-cova gets but never wins di**...well maybe she does).

In the end RJ will be a footnote in the history of the NFL...JK, DM are in the HOF...you can't take that away.

So does Shawn King deserve his ring? He completed 37% of his passes and had a killer INT returned for a TD vs Pitt.
The scapegoat is gone, time to let the RJ issue go.

RJ was the best clip-board holder in the history of the Super Bowl.

RJ has found his true calling, 1 that Doug Flutie exposed in 1998: RJ is nothing more than a minimally competent at best backup QB in the NFL. Just like Todd Collins turned out to be.

Some people just don't understand on a good team everyone contributes. Rob Johnson made a contribution to that team. He is a champion. Perhaps if Flutie had been a team player instead of a whiney pansy ass loser egoistic half-rate QB we might have a championship here as well.

Do some research- why do you think nobody on the Bills has blasted Flutie, but both Pat Williams and Ruben Brown blasted RJ for the way he left Buffalo? Why do you think Moulds, Price, and Williams so warmly received Flutie when he was here this year after the game?

Those facts tell me you're totally wrong about Flutie- if he were that much of a cancer somebody from the Bills would have said something by now about him, and nobody has. On the opposite side of things, RJ was criticized in the media by 2 top Bills.

You do the math.
