Nah I live here and they have been pretty much working 24/7 on that place. I for one am thrilled to hear it. Even if this is the last season for them here. This city needs that.

Yeah. I find it hard to believe how much exaggerating was going on in the immediate aftermath of the story. Didn't they say tens of thousands died? Then it turned out that 1,000 or so did. I remember going to nicaragua after they had a hurricane roll through there in 98. We were sent for protection for the engineers cause you never know whats gonna happen and also the last time american soldiers were on thier soil it was not good. Anyway the way the media had it out was that as soon as we were gonna get off the plane it was going to be chaos. Like we were gonna have to walk through mud and tag dead bodies and the country was going to be a wasteland. Well it wasn't i can actually say it was one of the most pleasent deployments i ever went on.
The media just likes to play on peoples fear. The only thing they want is a high body count so they can milk the story forever. I say good job new orleans on rebuilding.

If we were in the Saints fans shoe's I'd be hoping for my teams return as soon as possible,so I view that bit of info as good news.

There are still 2500+ people missing in the aftermath of Katrina, so only time will tell if the #'s are a result of exaggeration or if once they finally clear the most devestated area, 9th Ward will be a Mass grave for thousands of unfortunate souls.
Don't get it twisted and think this area isn't as bad as reports say because there hasn't even been an effort to clear the lower lying areas that may hide Thousands of bodies.. One thing for certain is that the 9th Ward smells of dead bodies and finding more corpes will raise the #'s of dead to more than current figures.
Media hype is one thing but many bodies have yet to be uncovered.

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams has done a couple of remote locations from N.O. "Hurricane Katrina the Long Road Back" and they showed the inside of the Superdome it looks good of what I've seen of it.Comment

That would be cool for them to be able to return to NOs and have a actual home game for 1 more season atleast. It had to be horrific to play "home" games somewhere else and never really have an advantage over opposing teams.
