Off AP wire at work ...

BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) … Former quarterback Joe Theismann,
Washington Post columnist Tony Kornheiser and Mike Tirico will
be the broadcast crew for "Monday Night Football" next season
as the long-running show shifts to ESPN from ABC.
The moves leave Al Michaels free to switch to NBC, which
takes over Sunday night games next season from ESPN. John
Madden, Michaels' broadcast partner for the last four seasons,
agreed in June to a six-year contract with NBC.

From bad to worse to unbearable :puke:

Mike Tirico is one of the best in the game. He should be able to steer the ship.

Kornheiser? I liked his radio show just because it was fun non-sense, but I don't think he would be a good choice to call games. I could be wrong, but I am not real impressed with this crew.

I like Mike Tirico especially his golf coverage. The other 2 will make me want to watch MNF with no sound!!

That's Stewart Scott

Tirico is much more mild mannered. He'll be good.

I love Kornheiser, but I don't really see him fitting into a color role for live broadcasts.

Theismann is a well known commodity. Some like him, some hate him. Personally, I don't really care.

Tirico and Kornheiser are good. However, how can they hire Tony when he's always like, "Who is this guy Wilbon? I've never heard of him." The guy doesn't know enough about athletes IMO.

Korhheiser's sports radio show talks about sports about 10% of the time.

I agree. Kornheiser is an entertaining radio host, but he doesn't know enough about sports to be a color guy. His stuff is more general commentary than in depth football insights.

I say bring back Dierdorf.

Korhheiser's sports radio show talks about sports about 10% of the time.

And 50% is about himself. That's why I can't stand him.
He's from the Rome mold: more concerned with being cool than talking about sports.

McGuire is ******ed so at least he's out. But I was hoping they got Theismann out of there too.

Since he's still in, it remains unwatchable.

guess ill be watching it on mute.

And replaying LT Vs. Theismann every few minutes just for a laugh.

I like Tirico, because he's not afraid to say when officials or players are doing a bad job, but he is respectable about it.

Kornheiser. I dunno. He makes it work on PTI. But is he going to constantly make stupid sexual jokes on MNF and constantly say, "You only like him, Joe, cuz he's your BOY!!"?

Theisman. He's a nice guy and all, but the only reason I liked him on Sunday Night football is because Paul always made fun of him.

Theisman is the worst announcer in the history of man. McGuire was tolerable since he called out Joe's constant idiocy.

I'd rather have Paul Mcguire then that blow it out his ass Joe Theisman. theisman is one of the worst announcers I have ever heard.
