Anyone catch the olympics last night?

I watched as a guy who had tore his Achilles tendon just a few months ago, was doing tripple axles etc. We are at about month 5 for TKO being post op Right? So why is TKO Still limping badly (*) And this guy is competing?

Now I know that most will say skating isn't as tough on you as football, and I say yes and no. Ice Skating is damn hard on the ankles specifically. Ask any sabre.

(*) here is what bugs me. I have been through a couple injurys sports related as bad as TKO's. I know at the 5 month point I wasn't limping at all. In fact my therapist was damn sure of it. Was I lifting heavy? No. Running hard? No. but my 'gait' was normal and I had normal functionality. I spent 6 weeks in a fixed brace and 5 more in a brace that was adjustable on the range of movement.

I just want to see TKO back 100%.

BTW I have read that peterson LB from San Fran might be cut/ Traded this offseason. It is anywhere from demanding too much money, to can't perform up to the level to warrant the money due to his Achilles injury he had suffered.

This is why I don't see posey going anywhere this offseason. There is no way TKO no matter how much he thinks nor wills it, will be back to 100% for the 06 season. Let him rotate in with Posey while allowing the Achilles to fully get back to normal.

I think we should wait until camp breaks in a few months to determine whether or not TKO will take his old form. I have a feeling that he will be just as good.

I am not even concerned about this. The guy works as hard as anyone in the game in the weight room. I am pretty sure he will make sure he is ready to go in time.

As far as Julian Peterson, hasn't he missed most of the last 2 seasons with injuries? I know he missed one of them with an achiles tear. I think he is very good but very injury prone.

first off, I don't care how hard TKO works. An injury only heals so fast. No matter the will or the work, connective tissue only mends so fast.

Reality says 07 will be when he truely returns 100%.

It's something to think about. Especially since TkO has access to the best equipment, specialists and treatments than any of us have. What if he's hurt worse than they are saying, and that he may IR for '06?

          That would suck.

I watched it too and they said he wasn't back on the ice for 6 months.

I thought it was 4? And I thought it was just 7 months ago he had the surgery? I still feel there is something else there with TKO. He shouldn't be limping as bad as he was at the Superbowl function nearly 5 months after surgery.

Sam Cowert never recovered from his Achilles injury

That is a career threatening injury under the best of circumstances. When he had it I figured he had at best a 1 in 7 chance of ever regaining his old form. In short, I’m not counting on it.

I wish the guy the best, but I think bills fans have to look at this realistically, and realize, his days of pro-bowl quality play are most likely over

It also wasn't a full tear. It was rupture. I watched it too.

Not fully, but he's still playing at a decent level. He had 85 tackles and 2 sacks last year. He also had 127 and 140 in 2002 and 2003 with the Jets, both seasons with 2 sacks. I think Vilma is just as much to credit for him losing his job in NY.
