Bills offer Rocky Seto coaching position...

Bills | Seto offered a job on the coaching staff
    Mon, 13 Feb 2006 07:57:57 -0800

Scott Wolf, of the Los Angeles Daily News, reports the Buffalo Bills have offered Rocky Seto a job on their coaching staff. Seto has until Tuesday, Feb. 14, to accept the job from new Bills head coach Dick Jauron. He might take it because USC coach Pete Carroll switched him from his natural position of linebackers to safeties last week during a reorganization of the defensive coaching staff.

I think we may be getting down to the proverbial bottom of the barrel. I'm waiting for us to offer the QB coach position to Ryan Leaf.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

He is a good coach and could make a great pipeline to have some USC players end up in Buffalo

Ah, they have something called a draft to get college players. I doubt ole' Rocky will have much of an impact on those undrafted free agents.

USC will have some good UDFA this year and also he will have alot of inside info on players and could influence draft decisions to draft players from a championship program

Instead of cheeseburgers before the game, our players may be eating sushi.

chances are he'll teach our lb's to throw a flying kick instead of a tackle

I'm not sure how much of an impact he will have in getting players from USC here. Except for Darnell Bing (S), I doubt there will be many looks at some of what they have available. Fred Matua (OG) is probably a 4th rounder worth and we might have already chosen a guard by then (hopefully). With all our holes, I doubt we pick a TE like Dominique Byrd who will probably go in the late 2nd rd. Taitusi Luiti is a Guard that will probably go in the mid/late 3rd - he's a possibility for us, though there are other guards I prefer to get before him. The rest high name profiles (Reggie Bush, Winston Justice, Matt Leinhart and Lendale White) will easily go to others all probably in the 1st rd...

Where he might be useful is in providing feedback to Marv on other college players/potentials and perhaps on sleepers in the late rounds and even the undrafted...

If he could help get Scott Ware S here with a late pick or UDFA it will be well worth it the guy hits like a young John Lynch and has great instincts and ball skills

He sure is young. If he's good, he'll be a head coach before he's 40.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
