Not sure if this division 2 gig would be a step-up from the Kash-n-karry??

Hey, this could work. The head coach simply needs to take his QBs asside and whisper in their ear, "Whatever he tells you, just do the opposite."

Doubtful....unless he figured out a way to blow $15M+ in 5 years. :snicker:

This just proves that everyone is given a second and third and fourth and fifth chance

Actually, some people are better teachers than players. It was his attitude that was the problem....he had talent. They are giving him a chance to prove that he can do it......good luck to him.

that's funny.

isn't it generally wiser to hire coaches who had good attitudes and work ethics when they were players? maybe this is why i'm not a division 2 AD?

Ryna was on with Dan Patrick yesterday and did about a 7-8 minute interview.

The guy has sure grown up, I think he will do well in this new roll.

The nice thing is he only blames himself and his immaturity for his failings and doesn't try to pin it on his teams, coaches etc.

One funny part, he said he hasn't spent any of his SD money, it just sits in the bank.

I heard the Dan Patrick interview too. When I heard he was going to be on, I figured, ok, what's dumbass promoting now. I went into it wanting to still really hate the guy, but I gotta say, he was real humble about the whole thing. Took pretty much all the blame for how things went. Sounds like he grew up.

Even admitting his biggest mistake was yelling at the reporter that started his downfall. Was the most honest I've heard an athlete be in an interview in a long time.

Funny part was after when a SD fan called in to say he forgave Leaf because without him, they never would've gotten LT.
