DeMontie Cross, linebackers and special teams coach for the (Iowa State University) Cyclones the past five seasons, has been hired to coach defensive ends and special teams for the Buffalo Bills.

That's good one of the past problems of the previous staffs was it's size.. Most teams have a special teams assistant...At least the bills are finally getting with the rest of the nfl.

The trend has been for staffs to grow in size. Since assistant coaches outside of a few really highly touted guys tend to be pretty cheap compared with players, and don't count against he cap, more assistants may be a great investment if they can make a difference in play on the field
