The Jets are in need of a healthy QB, a franchise RB to replace the aging Curtis Martin, an offensive line, defense, hot dog venders, you name it.


I think the Cutler talk is a smokescreen. I think the Jets will make a hard run at Drew Brees. Failing that, I bet they try hard to get the #1 pick from the Texans.

If neither materialize, I still think they will start to rebuild their aging and injured line.

I just catched the idea of this serial thread. If the first 3 choices of this vote-based mock draft become true, NY Jets should draft D'Brickashaw Ferguson but I really wonder if they will not trade up to get Leinart.

Cutler would be a huge reach. I don't think the Jets are that dumb. They franchised Abraham so they're not going to draft Mario Williams here. I agree D'Brick is the man.

The obvious choice here is Ferguson, however with all the cap problems and team needs they have I can actually see them dropping down getting a few more picks and getting out of the huge money a top 5 draft pick demands.

Man, I didn't even see this thread yesterday...are we now not allowing 24 hrs per pick??? Or even 12???

My pick would have been Cutler. The VPs of the Jets have expressed displeasure with Pennington and right now they don't seem happy with him at all. What are they going to do when he goes down again in the early part of the season? Cutler is rapidly rising on the QBs to draft list and some people are even saying that he might be surpassing Young!!!
