What exactly is a "transition tag" and how does that differ from a franchise tag? Also, can you have more than one player franchised at a time? Finally, why would a team want to franchise tag a player who won't sign a long term contract? It's obvious the player doesn't want to stick around, and with that kind of attitude, does a team really want the player around for another season?
