Can you believe this. This guy has Buffalo ranked 24th heading into next year!

Don Pierson's NFL rankings heading into the 2003 season.

1. Buccaneers. Wait until Gruden finds offensive players he likes.

2. Jets. Play exhibition game in Tokyo vs. Bucs. Super Bowl encore likely.
......
24. Bills. Gregg Williams must fix the leaky defense in a hurry.

Power rankings for 2003 less than 72 hours after the SB???

This guy is obviously an idiot. How the hell does he manage to put Dallas, Seattle, Indy and the Vikings ahead of Buffalo. Must have done the rankings while sipping a few beers with Barret Robbins. I'll bet any amount of money that Buffalo will fare better than this moron thinks!

TD will get the defensive players Buffalo needs. I really don't see the point of paying attention to rankings at this time of year, much less doing them. Did Pierson predict Tampa's SB victory a year ago? I doubt it.

I could really care less about the power rankings during the season, let alone 3 days after the Super Bowl.

What is the sense for these power rankings already? We still have free agency and the draft before we can get an idea of what the teams will look like. We have no idea of who these teams will sign, cut, or trade. This is nonsense if you ask me.

It's called a "I am a football writer and don't know anything about anything else, so in the offseason I have to write something no matter how stupid and irrelevant they are" article.

This guy is about as credible as WCF's power rankings. It is pointless to do power rankings at this point because I'm sure the average roster will change around 20% between now and 2003 kickoff.

I agree Don. How can you predict something without all the facts in yet?? Who knows who will be playing where and whose going to draft who.
