What's your antidote to fix the team through FA?

These days it's almost unheralded for any team to expect rookies to come in and instantly make an impact on their teams. Even 1st round picks can turns out to be busts. The draft could change the outcome of everything, but as it is, we need young, experienced and talented players who can help us win asap.
Therefore, free agency is where it's at. This team has glaring holes to fill, but we can't afford every free agent out there to complete this team. Marv and Co should probably end up spending much on each line because the lines are the core of the success teams will end up with .

O-line:First, the obvious choice-LeCharles Bentley. Nothing else to be said except that this can play both C/G and would upgrade the line tremendously.
Second, with Jason Peters showing skill and athleticism, he's likely best suited for LT, with the acquisition of Kevin Shaffer to play RT. The next man to fill the other void at G after Anderson and Villariel get the boot is Stephien Neal. As much as it pains me to want an ex patriot, he would be the final piece to the improvement of the line.

D-line: Run stopper. We need a run stuffer. We need another chunk in the middle to pair up with Sam Adams to stop the run. The best choice-
Maake Kemoeatu. Pair him up next to Sam and you'll forget the name Pat Williams. Second, Our pass rush from the edges has lacked consistency with Schobel being the only real threat coming of the edge. So why not get another Aaron in there? Aaron Kampman is good vs the run and pass. He would give the other end position much improvement.

Wr- Moulds is gone. So who does Fairchild need to add more speed to the offense? Who can he pair up with Evans to take double teams off him? Look no further than Nate Burleson. He had a real sophmore season. Maybe it had to do with having Randy Moss by his side, but he played pretty well after Moss' departure to Oakland. Bryant and Givens are good options as well, but Bryant has had character issues that could hurt his interest from Marv and Givens probably wouldn't fit the offense fairchild will run.

Rb- Mcgahee is an enigma at this point. However, there's a chance he cleans up his act and plays well. A good backup rb is always a need. Lional Gates is still unproven. It would seem that the A-train would be the obvious choice given his history with the dick, but Mcgahee is to Steven Jackson as Michael Bennett is to Marshall Faulk. Clearly, i'm not comparing each one of them, but as the analogy goes, you could figure out there the offense fairchild will use needs a change of pace back to go with the starter. Bennett has been injury prone, but he he probably one of the fastest rb's in the league and would be excellent for draw plays and pass plays. Shaud Williams is not that much better.

Secondary- Now that Clements is here to stay, there's not much need for a cb anymore, except for maybe depth. Thrown in RW McQuarters name in the hat as a 3rd Cb. He has a history with the dick and cover 2 like defense, so he would fit right in. Safety needs youth so Corey Chavous and Marquand Manuel would be good replacements for both Milloy and Vincent.

FA was originally made to address immediate needs (not to address any "bargains") and it's a challenge but IMHO Bills should add at least unquestionable starters at G, DT, C, TE and possibly a WR if Moulds is gone. Then, it should be necessary to add depth (competence) at SS, RB and DE if Denney is let go.

All your suggestions looks to be an immediate answer but I wonder how viable would they be next week.

Preston is our center. We do not have the cap room to address all of the needs. And with no CBA we will be further restricted. An uncapped year next year means maybe no signing FA's at all.

The Bills only have a small fraction of the cap space available to sign all those guys, even half of them.

Get realistic, we may sign 2-3 mid-level or lower free agents, that is about it. That is the reality.
