I was just listening to ESPN Radio and they reported that Sam Adams has been released and it will save 3.5 on the cap

Sorry no link, but other message boards are talking about it now too.

Also, ESPN list of cuts has Adams in bold lettering, which means he has been cut

The Bills, who entered Wednesday $2 million under the $92 million salary cap, made their second major cut of the offseason by releasing former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Sam Adams (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=2825).

Adams, 32, has been in the NFL for 12 seasons and has been with the Bills since 2003. His release saves the Bills $3.5 million of cap room. He was scheduled to make $3.5 million this season in what was his last season with the Bills.

Bad attitude and all, bye bye.

P.S. If your going to leave the stadium on gameday, pack your locker as well.

hello Ngata. So I guess DT would 'Ngata' be a bad pick at #8?

Bye Big Sam! :(

Hello Ryan Picket or Larry Tripplett!

hello Ngata.

You're probally right, but you never know.

They could sign a pain of dt's in Free agency and still go in another direction at #8

hello Ngata.
I still dont think the Bills will go after Ngata. They have already stated that they dont want cloggers and block absorbers. They want fast one gap penetrators. I see them going after one in FA and one in the draft, such as Bunckley or Mahelona.

Looks like they're bracing for the CBA fallout.

Hell why not both? Then Davis with the #8!

If the Bills do draft Ngata, who is going to play along side of him? Teams need 2 quality tackles. We saw last year what happens when you only have 1. I hope they are targeting someone in FA as well

hello Ngata.
. . . and another DT, either through the draft or FA. I'm convinced that we can't live with Anderson, the oft-injured Edwards, Bannan or Sape alongside Ngata.

Oh well Sam/Big Fat ass Mike/Moulds getting cut should put us in good shape.

I enjoyed seeing Sam make plays while he was here. He had a few memorable moments. Godspeed, Keg!

Ok. Now I'm definitely worried about stopping the run. The DL couldn't do it last year, how are they going to do it this without their best DT? If they draft Ngata, he's still a rookie, and we don't have talented depth at that position.

Maybe if I take deep breath I'll be able to calm down. Ahhhhhhhh

Nope, didn't work. I'm definitely worried.

You guys do realise a cover two is an idea and a scheme right? You also realise it can somewhat be ran from the 3-4....

Ngata at #8 and another Free Agent LB = 3-4/Cover 2? just something to think about.

Reality says pickett or someone like him with Ngata is what we will do.

Hey it is pretty much the same thing in regards to the LB's and DB's. the only issue is pass rush, but we all know the 3-4 can do some really nasty things pass rush wise

There will be plenty of talent in FA, maybe even signing Sam back at a huge discount.

He isn't coming back. They didn't even try a restrcuture. Marv doesn't want him here and for good reason. Look for moulds to be following suit

The contract is not one you restructure. it was a one year deal. One year at $3.5. Cut him and you owe him nothing. :D

That's why I wouldn't be surprised if they brought him back for another 1 year deal, but cheap.

He isn't coming back. What is being missed here? He was cut because marv and DJ didn't want him. It's that simple. Not trying to be an ass, but the sob was a fat POS and isn't wanted in Buffalo any longer. That is the long and the short of it. Marv himself said at the combine he didn't know if sam was going to fit into what he wanted to do.

And the most malignant Cancer is about to be removed.

I wonder LOG, do you think the remaining vets will get the hint that the BS wont' be tolerated anymore? And if you have a guy in there playing, you better be a team leader / Player and play your ass off? Maybe they will understand throwing your Fellow team mate under the bus to try and serve your own needs gets you a one way ticket out of Buffalo on that same bus?

hopefully they will get the hint.

The CBA or lack thereof changes the dynamic of everything.

I am not sure players are gonna be scared straight.

Exactly! Marv and Dick are taking back the locker room. I'd rather have slightly less talent and more locker room cohesion.

FTP any player ICE doesnt like automatically makes them fat/lazy/locker room cancer/overpaid....etc. Just ignore him. Most everyone does.

The Bills realistically will only sign 1 starting calibur DT in FA. It is almost a given they GO DL in the draft in round 1 now. how can you not?

So true. I wonder if Mark Campbell is next....Wasn't he one of the ones calling for JP to get benched?

What about Troy Vincent? He likes to break rules and injure the rookie to teach him a lesson.

Any other cancers left? :idunno:

Yeah Evans. He questioned playcalling.

This means he's gone, Willis is gone and any vet who Moulds spoke on behalf.

Damn, looks like we won't have a team next year. at least you're not gonna have to wake up to attend camp. There won't be one.
