Discuss please.

The fact that Moulds has not been cut yet gives me hope. I think the Bills are working on a contract extension/restructure with him to keep him here.

I'm a little upset about the Milloy cut, because we dont have a SS on this team now. :ill:

I'm a little shocked at the Milloy cut as well.

The Bills are obviously going to be very active in Free Agency now..... They are cutting players like they need to get under the cap, even though they arn't

Expect alot of signings, despite the uncertianty of the CBA....

Huff @ #8

Free Agent DTs will need to be added and maybe DT McCargo from NC State in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Milloy? WTF?

I figured Adams was going to be a cap casualty. Losing Cambell isn't disheartening. But Milloy? Can we really afford to cut him?

I'm not too surprised by the Campbell cut. Marv probably wants a more athletic TE. Besides, we do have Everett, who should be ready to play this year.

I think Milloy is done. He was already considered "not worth the money" by the Pats when he came here.

I wonder if Marv is thinking of going after Huff or Ngata. He either feels confident enough in Wire and will draft Ngata or he is comfortable enough with Anderson and Edwards and will draft Huff.

What an exciting offseason this will be.

TD should have just took his FAs with him after he was axed.

I haven't been really big on taking a DB in the 1st rnd, but a D-Backfield with Clements-McGee-Huff does sound pretty sweet!

Marv is trying to trade Moulds. If not he must take the flat pay cut.

OH well..

I LOVE ALL of the cuts.. ALL Of them.

Note something on the cuts...ALL of them were alledged to be the veterans that wanted JP benched. Go back and look at the rumors etc coming out of the locker room this year. Every damn one of them. Campbell was pissed since bledsoe got cut. Milloy did say something at the begining of the season about how hard JP worked, but seemed to change as the season went along.

BTW Marv said the cuts would have happened even if the CBA had been done by now.

What is there to figure out? Too much money, too old, not enough production and all 3 were part of that locker room revolt against JP. not that the latter had much to do with it, but it's pretty interesting.

If you watched the games you are hard pressed not to see this coming. Milloy sucked this past year and was a step late on everything. I'm glad he's gone. The real sad part is that Vincent is 2 years older and stiil has more speed than Milloy.

Odd coincidence... our tailgate spot is near the fieldhouse and the only 3 players I ever saw driving in on gameday were Adams, Campbell, and Milloy in his Monstrous Ford. This obviously had something to do with it.

The name of the game is going to be speed, Milloy doesnt have that, Adams doesnt and neither does Campbell. Vincent may stay though cuz as a FS he is still fast and has good instincts.

I can't even begin to explain how giddy I am that Milloy was cut. I've been telling my friends for two seasons now that I wanted him cut. For one, he's overpaid. Next, he's like an older and slower Roy Williams for Dallas. He always looks to make the big hit, and it gets him out of position, but he doesn't have the physical skills to make up for it. He hasn't had the physical skills for a few years now. Sam Adams got exposed after Fat Pat left town. Mark Campbell doesn't really offer much, especially with Euhus and Everett in tow. This has been a very pleasing offseason for me!

Moorman drove by all the time, he's very discreet!

I will miss Campbell... he almost ran me over that one time!

That too. Although if we draft someone like Cedric Griffin or Jason Allen Vincent will lose his spot and become a backup

No big losses

Milloy was getting old and overpaid and not playing his ass off.

Adams seemed to be getting fatter and lazier.

Campbell couldn't catch a dodgeball if life depended on it.

i dont mind the cut of milloy, but i am extremely worried about having NO ss now..

i dont mind the cut of campbell.. he was a good blocker, and i disagree that he couldnt catch.. that guy held on to the ball after getting destroyed numerous times.. but he offered no YAC ability at all.. everett is getting healthy and davis in the draft is possible.

i do mind sam adams getting cut.. we currently have NO starting quality DT on the roster.. and the few back ups that we have dont even fit the new scheme they are running.. ron edwards possibly.. other than that, we basically need 4 new DTs now. sam adams could penetrate the backfield and stop the run..

the bills need to get off their asses now and start picking up some players.. because this team just went from having a handful of holds to having a boat load of holes.

Not surprised at all by Sam Adams or Laywer Milloy being cut - their performance did not justify their salaries. With Campbell I think he MAY be back but at a lower salary especially if none of the younger players work out. Sam Adams was becoming more Show and less Boat and Laywer was overrated when he was hired.

All of them are older and higher paid players - Marv knows he needs to cut the fat (especially in terms of Sam Adams Heavy) early so his team will peak later rather than get better with veterans and then collapse as it got too old.

Expect Anderson to be released sometime in camp and maybe even Vincent if they can find a young safety who can take his starter spot.

I'd take Chris Hope from Pittsburgh to replace Milloy.

If only I had the rep power - :posrep:

I'd love to see him in here next year - he's gotta be the best safety available in the FA.

Overpriced probably. But Sam filled the middle. Of course he wasn't as effective without Pat Williams. That was TD's fault not replacing Pat with someone as effective. For a guy like Marv that preachs about it starting with the DL/OL, focusing on the secondary is the last thing I thought he'd do.

Good thing there's talk of getting a great SS in. We'll need it now that there's no apparent pressure up the middle on QBs.

I would have kept Sam Adams. Marv has recently said that a strong D line makes the DBs job easier.

The Bills have exactly one starting quality Dlineman.

So in review, the offseason shopping list consists of...

2 x DTs
1 x DE
1 x LT
1 x LG
1 x SS
2 x WR (reed and Moulds gone)
LB might also be needed based on TKO's recovery.

But go ahead and get all excited about Huff. He's the missing piece, right?

The Bills should trade down and get another pick. They have way too many friggin holes to fill.

considering we now have no one at DT, SS, or TE who is a proven starter, I'd say yeah
