I decided to check NFLPA and yep.....salary escalators are in place.

First though......according to NFLPA, CB Kevin Thomas has re-signed a 1 yr, $656,000 deal

I have adjusted the EFAs from $400,000 to the reported $385,000 figure from the Buffalo News

Also, 4 players apparently had playing time salary escalators:

1) OT Mike Gandy: salary increased from $1.25 million to $1.8 million
2) G Bennie Anderson: salary increased from $1.4 million to $1.5 million
3) FB Dainon Shelton: salary increased from $950,000 to $1 million
4) QB Kelly Holcomb: salary increased from $875,000 to $1.125 million

I now have the Bills $8,604,819 under an "adjusted" salary cap of 94,289,911 million with $8,622,892 "dead cap"

8.8 isn't going to cut it. we need to make some more moves.

Sweet! 8.6 with Moulds under his huge contract.. So regardless what happens there we are in sweet shape. Plus we most likely won't go "nuts" in free agency and we'll have a sweet cap next season too.

Take away 2.5 for the Draft and more if the CBA doesn't kick in. When you look at 24 mill being open for the Vikings we really can't outbid for good players. We are stuck with the Bennie andersons of Free agency

Agreed. 6.5 isn't that much. 10 mill ( the cutting of moulds possibly) would be great as for as cap to play with.

All in all... Not that big of a hit... PHEW!!

If you recall last season in was millions on Clemments and fat Mike Williams.

Too bad fat Bennie Anderson claimed a little... He needs to vanish.

Does this extra money for Big Bennie make him harder to cut, Clump?

Why did Bennie Anderson get a pay raise? Did the price of cheeseburgers and ice cream increase dramatically in WNY?

All 4 players likely had escalators based on playing time....not quality of play LOL

AWM: Kevin Thomas was tendered as a RFA last off-season....had the surgery and was on PUP until week 10 of the season, at that point, my info has him placed on IR....he qualified as a UFA but apparently he's signs a 1 yr deal

OK cool. I thought I read he was cut. Must be confusing it with him being placed on IR.

8.8 as of now, possible 18.8 if the CBA gets done tonight. If we can't retain Moulds add another 5.5. Is that right? We could possibly be 24.3 under the cap?

The Bills will have a bigger advantage in FA if the CBA is not passed tonight. After Moulds is released we would be about 15 mil under and most other teams wont have the cap room to compete with us for FAs. Then we can hope the CBA gets done sometime between after FA and the start of the season. Even the Bucs GM said the same thing. He said that they would be better off if the CBA was done in 30 days from now.
