I think the NFL will become like the recording and movie industries hiding revenue justifying it by saying they need to pay expenses and NFLPA doesn't allow them to above board so they will do it below board. If the NFLPA wants to be part owners then they need to be willing to be part investors as well.
Some future income I think is coming is games on iPod and other electronic media sold after the game. If it works for TV shows, it will work for NFL. I do not know if this is being addressed in talks.
