Nope and Id trade down like mikemac said above and get a good return for the pick.

No thanks to Young, I want Brady Quinn next year.

The Bills should be able to draft high again next year. Hopefully Losman is the starter all next year so the Bills can be a lock to get a top 3 pick.

And if he does start and we are out of the top 3 are you going to come back here and admit you are nothing but hater?

Not no hell no.

If you meant Steve Young, maybe. But Vince Young, when we have a far more gifted passer, JP Losman, ready to take over this team?

Im gonna go out on a limb here and guess no.

LOL!! That isn't very much of a limb, Devin. ;)

There is no way i would take him. I would much rather give Losman a chance, and not give up on him like everyone else.

Sure I will.

I doubt I will have to.

Only way I will have to is if Holcomb is named starter and leads the Bills to 6-7 wins and we get a top 10 Draft pick instead of a top 3-5 draft pick with Losman leading the way.

As of right now the Bills roster doesn't look very good. Maybe Marv will bring in some quality FAs and have a good draft. The Bills haven't drafted well in awhile. Thanks to Tom Donahoe.

No way. And I don't think there's anyone out there that would be willing to trade up to #8 to snag Young instead of waiting it out.

Depends if Detroit and Arizona are desperate enough to duke it out for him- and if Cutler is long gone

You gotta think Miami, Minn, Det, Arz, Stl, Cle, Chi, Car

all would be interested should VY drop that far, none have gaping holes at QB but all could use an upgrade or young heir apparent to their current starter.

Cutler's moved up quite a bit...into Jets/Titans territory, IMO...so he'll be gone by four.

The Raiders may be stupid enough to take Young at 7, though, which would make the scenario moot. I think Martz is going to give Harrington one more shot in Detroit, and as for Arizona-maybe. Who the hell knows what Green may pull.

You'll be getting him if they dont have at least three new starters on the O Line this year.. Rebuild the offensive line BIG time and we'll go places, if not.. I hope we can get used to picking in the top ten.

To answer the question at hand.. YES, I would take Vince Young in a minute.. I watched the Rose Bowl and saw a poise and ability in a QB i havent seen in a LONG LONG time.. No matter how big the game, he seems to play it in slow motion.
You cant TEACH that.

If you asked the same question 30 days ago.. Most of you would say you would trade UP from 8 to get Young..

Why would we need Vince Young? We already have one QB who has more athleticism than football smarts. Young is right out of the Michael Vick mode, and Vick's success has been in the marketing realm rather than in the winning realm.

We're better off (or at least no worse off) with JP.

I see that the vote is overwhelmingly against drafting Young, and I can see why.
I agree that it's not the best move for this franchise right now.

That being said, to be very honest....I think there is a very good chance that if he's there Marv takes him.....and if we do get him....I would be excited.

Michael Vick played in the NFC championship two years ago..

After five straight losing seasons, I'll take that.

Vince Young is a winner.. You cant teach that.

On the Detroit boards everybody is saying hell yes. But then, there's a reason we're the Lions.

I would rather bring in if hes still there Mario Williams fro State. Hes got excellent size 6'7" 290lbs, averaged 25 tackles for losses the last two seasons, 1st team All ACC performer last season, has good speed a 40 time of 4.75, and has good range and can make plays all over the field. The main weakness he has is inconsistency and hes still developing as a player.

Exactly, some team will give an extra pick or more to move up to get VY at #8..

I bet as far as I'm concerned you would lose that bet!

To answer the question, no I would take him.

Pat the only thing I see good in him is what yousaid about him playing in slow motion, and your rihght you can't teach that. However, I think he is a bust waiting to happen. He doesn't have the strongest arm, his mechanics are bad and if he tries to run like he did in college he will get killed. Unlike Vick and McNabb he doesn't have the alosiviness (sp) that these 2 had and I don't believe he is as fast either, with his size that's not good. McNabb hardly runs anymore and they have cut Vicks run also, which makes them both less affective and I think they are both more talented then Young.
