Will the new Madden Football game be available for PCs?

well, we are only a few weeks away from the release of madden 2003. i am personally very pumped, here are the team rankings for the teams in the afc east:

not that any of this matters, but i don't see how the jets have the best rating. also mckinnie is rated better than big mike, i think madden has been hitting the pipe

I wouldn't go nuts over hte player rankings... most of that programming took place months before the draft and combines. They wait until the last moment (the draft) to put in the final piece of programming (which big draftees go to which teams) and it's off to the manufacturer.

All of the rookie rankings/projections are more products of Mel Kiper's and other draftnik's projections than on anything else. We will see what is up next season.

I do believe they have added a feature this year that you can DL updated Rosters that not only fix inaccuracies in team rosters but also update that individual players rankings. So if Drew Bledsoe is ranked at like 65% accuracy before the season starts, and goes on a god like throwing rampage with 0 interceptions, his accuracy rating could change with the download.

Its all about keeping it as real as possible.

You know the programmers are from New York. Jets D a 91? They had a terrible D last year and it is worse now.

you can check out info about the game from a variety of sources, but if you play on pc like I do, then www.pcfootball.net is the place for you. The site also has info on other pc football games (hence the name).

I heard in the training camp mode you can actually increase a players rating...Its also supposed to have a custom play editor, allowing you to make your own plays...Now THAT would be awesome...All of us wannabe OCs will have a blast with that. You will also have Defensive audibles now as well...You can pack 8 in the box or switch to a zone on the fly...This one I feel is going to be the best one yet:woot:

the best i ever saw was..not madden, but the other one....2001 maybe? it had the music from the old school nfl films with the drums and the horns..and showed the highlights in slow motion

I don't have a PS2 and was just curious if Madden 2003 will be available for my computer and will let me have the options to play the PS2 players online or not. Anyone know? When will it be available???

Madden 2003 is available for PC, I think it came out today. From what I hear it's similar to last year's PS2 version, with some new features like Training Camp added.
I doubt you can play PS2 players, but you can play other PC users.

You will not be able to play PS2 players due to the different formats, but you can play online against other pc gamers.

If you have friends that have the PS2 version and you want to play them...then you may want to grab a PS2...In most areas the PS2 and Xbox prices have been dropped to $199 instead of $299. You might even be able to pick one up cheaper than that on ebay or other auction site...If you don't mind it being used, you might want to look into a Funstop or Gamestop. They sell them used with a year long warranty but its only like $50.00 cheaper (That would just about cover the cost of Madden).

A friend of mine was in Best Buy last night and saw an open case of Madden 2K3 for PC sitting in a shopping cart. When no one was looking, he grabbed one, went to check out, bought it and went home. Got it 2 days early and the UPC code was already in the system.

They cut out the teams like sugarbuzz, marshalls, etc. They also cut out online franchise, and player position switching. Otherwise the reviews have been good.

i see...well that kinda sucks though...i always put newman at LE on dime packages and then i would manually move him over to the right side of the RE. Works every time. the LT picks up the RE and Newman either has a free shot at the ball carrier or gets a 1-on 1 with a RB/FB.

Personally, I can't see spending the money on an X-box or a ps2....you got a PC and part of the reason some of us bought them is to play games. Making the NFL Fever 2000 only available on X-Box was a rip-off.
