Same old Blah blah BS. Aledgedly both get = snaps in preseason with first and 2nd team guys. I will state again that is pure crap. Ok each gets 10 snaps with the first string in the first preseason game. Holcomb gets to throw 7 times, JP hand off 7. Not to fair a competition. Down, distance etc will determine playcalling, but it could screw either guy.
This is why again one of two scenarios are best for this team 1) JP gets all the snaps and 16 games this season to see if he is the guy or not. 2) Neither JP nor Holcomb get snaps and we bring in another veteran to run the team. Trade JP in the offseason.
Having a competition means you don't have a starter on this roster. We are back to RJ And Flutie all over again. Either you find out if JP is the man or bring someone in who is. Holcomb will NOT lead this team to wins. When you are retooling like the Bills are you don't hand this team over to a guy that will be 33 and on the downside of his career.
