The local ESPN station here in Dallas 103.3FM has all but guaranteed that the owners will come to an agreement tonight. Today on the show "Dennis and Engel" Dennis said that he had spoken with Jerry Jones and Jones basically said that whether he likes it or not the deal has to be done and would be done tonight.

SO again take it at face value. You know how local radio stations are at times.

Good catch, good post. You're right, could be fluff, but nonetheless nice to have some hope.

Who would have guessed that Jerry Jones would be the one to defect from the rich 9?

I hope they get the cap situation taken care of at some point, but i'm telling you.. If it stays at 94.5 million its an ADVANTAGE to Buffalo right now.. IF it goes up 10 million a lot of other teams are now players that wouldnt have been.

For example.. You're Rocky Bernard.... Are you going to Buffalo or Denver if the money is close?

Very true but what about an uncapped 2007, we would then have an even harder time competing.

Aside from popular belief Jerry Jones really does care about this deal getting done and its not so much that he doesnt want to help the smaller market teams its more that he just doesnt want to have to pony up half of what he makes off his team year after year.

I really cant blame the guy, he has worked very hard to make the Cowboys what they have been as a franchise.

Think about it this way. Some people will say "well he brings in a billion dollars a season on his team. How is giving up $250 million going to hurt him?"

Well if you have ten bucks and you have to give up $2.50 cents, that's alot of cash.
