It's been five months and counting for Takeo Spikes' recovery from his Achilles tendon surgery after it ruptured in Week Three against Atlanta last season. But according to renowned orthopedist Dr. James Andrews, who performed Spikes surgery, everything is on schedule for the two-time Pro Bowl linebacker. Spikes took time out of his busy schedule to give Bills fans an update as to how his self-labeled 'Comeback' is going.

Q: How is 'The Comeback' coming along?
Takeo Spikes: "The Comeback is going good. As of right now I'm five months out of surgery and I'm ahead of schedule in doing a lot of things well. I'm jogging outside of the water. I'm doing a lot more functional skills as far as football-type movement."
Q: What are you able to do now that you couldn't do as little as two months ago?
TS: "Two months ago I couldn't even walk straight without a limp. Now I'm pretty much able to walk straight. I can shuffle side to side without any problems. I'm able to pull somebody behind me. I'm able to get more push out of my calf muscle as far as pulling somebody behind me with a rubber band on."
