They can work out the agreement, but it's not official until Saturday morning. I think it is hillarious myself. The clown now goes to football hell.

The only downside is the Jests will now have two 1sts right?

Crap. The Jest with two firsts. Looks to me they are really wanting that #1 pick. If I were houston, I take thier two firsts and shore up both lines down there.

Is all the Cutler talk true? Or do they take Bush with that #1.

over at theganggreen they have the #4 and #9 in all their mock drafts, assuming it's already done. i didn't think teams with top 10 picks were into throwing them around like that. we'll see...

Not sure. They Got Pennington to take a paycut, but I still feel they need a QB

I don't think so. I think they take LenDale White.

Getting Mario Williams or DBrick and Cutler or DeAngelo Williams would definitely put a nice young foundation there.

White? Hummm....that is interesting. I would think the kid from the U of Minnesotta might fit better with them. I also don't think they have any faith in Pennington. It would have killed them (12 mill cap hit) to cut him.

What the hell was Detroit thinking?
Abraham is not worth a high first round pick in this years draft.
There is just too much talent available this year.

I disagree. If they want a pass-rush, he is one. Better than Mario Williams.

they could always get croyle in the second. no way they trade both 1s to get the first pick. besides, the pats-type defense is linebacker-based, and they already have enough line guys to play a 3-4. they may sign a hold-the-fort type for nt like adams or similar guy as a fa.

as for ol noodle arm, he'll get cut next year rather than this due to cap hit. they could draft a qb, or go with bollinger , noodle, and a fa qb like ramsey. the pats-type model is to get a bunch of medium/low cap guyts to play together rather than sign big fa to mucho bucks.:handball:

A ninja? I thought it was Son Goku from Dragonball... oh well...

On the topic: I also thought that the Jets were going to trade up for the first spot, but if they trade Abraham and get another first and another third round, now I don't see that happening. And what casdhf has stated makes a lot of sense also... Cutler and White (plus the second and the two third rounds which they could use to improve both lines) would make a heck of a draft for the Jets IMHO.
